I was hoping Toshiba has something up their sleeves after the WB fallout to Blu-ray, given that I’ve invested in HD-DVD two months prior. But I guess the offers that Sony made to the studios were too irresistible, that content was the determining factor for movie disturbers like Netflix and Walmart. With reports of the productions of HD-DVD players will cease, Toshiba has probably thrown in the towel to the format wars.

It looks like I’ll be buying a PS3 for the Blu-ray.

I have officially gone hi-def with the recent purchase of the Toshiba HD A3. Now I may be choosing HD-DVD to stick it to Sony, but for $200 and 10 HD-DVDs, the price was just right. Although maxing out at 1080i, I am more than pleased at watching movies at such high quality and can finally retire my PS2. It does suck that certain movies are exclusive, like Spiderman 3… but the price of Blu-ray players is hard to swallow. In the end, let pick one standard so we can enjoy all movies.

Another reason why Gmail is awesome, my account has IMAP! I’ve longed for email syncing ever since Microsoft Exchange and IMAP wasn’t always free. I don’t mind the web client, but I still prefer a rich environment like Outlook. I still can’t get over Gmail’s labels, neither does Outlook, atleast Gmail will translates those labels to folders. What will Google think of next?

Super Smash Bro Brawl, the game I’ve been waiting for has been delayed yet again! Pushed back from December to February 10th, what will I do until then? My Wii has been quite lonely lately, and I am in need of something to fill the void. Smash Bro Melee for Gamecube, although I need a controller… Mario Strikers with online play is tempting. Or the original Smash Bros on the VC would be awesome!

I really wonder how many people getting hurt or tv’s getting faced, but better safe than sorry right? Since Nintendo is offering these jackets for free to existing owners, I’ll take four! Either their request page doesn’t like Firefox or their servers are getting slammed, because the page 404′d.

Update: When I called today, the representative said they know of the problem with the online order. He suggested to wait a day or two for the website to be fixed.

Am I the only one not excited about Halo 3? Is it because I don’t have a xbox 360 nor play fps on consoles anymore? I loved Goldeneye back in the day, but have never looked back after switching to the PC. That may change if a decent shooter is released on the Wii, hearing how well Metroid plays. I’m sure the new Halo will be a great game, it just doesn’t offer anything new for me.

Omfg. An iPod you can touch? surf the web? download songs via iTunes wirelessly? minus the phone and price! Introducing the iPod Touch.

I’ve resisted the urge for the iPhone, but take away the phone, and its a different story. Sure I have an cellphone, an iPod Video, and a Macbook Pro, so why a iPod Touch? I don’t love my cellphone, but it didn’t cost me $600 (lawls the $200 price drop). I struggle filling my 80gb and its no where as portable as the nano. Other than games, I’m mostly surfing the web on my laptop anyways. The only thing I ask are 3rd party apps in the “near” future.

It just happens September is my birthday, so which should it be? 8gb or 16gb?

I’ve grown old over my music on my ipod. Local radio sounds like crap. I even played around with radio in WMP and even their selection seem repetitive, atleast for free channels.

Now I am trying out the internet radio service, Pandora. No need to download software, just type in your favorite artist or song and enjoy, all for free! I’ve longed to discover new music before they are abused on the radio, Pandora maybe my answer.
